Well, what a day! Today I had the honor of shooting with two lovely and talented ladies. Albina and Kristen. Thank you so much for your time and allowing me to photograph you today.
We started the shoot at 12:30pm and ran to 4:00pm. We had so much to do and not enough time to do it in. All in all, I got all the shots I wanted and the girls were just great! The lighting was tough today as the key light was producing some hot spots and no matter what I did it just stuck around. Oh well, thanks for post editing. Back in the old days we would have to just keep plugging away and rely on our light meters. Apparently, the owner on the studio had cameras in this room and I felt like I was under watch the whole time as my friend and I had to keep our eyes on the clock or else she would be charging us more even for the tearing down. I must admit I was not impressed with this and will not be using this studio again. Had some lighting problems during the second model of the day. Note to self, when you get new equipment always read the darn manual. I must admit I did the typical male thing and just bypassed the reading part and thought I could operate the trigger without any issues! Boy I lost like 10 shots due to this! I noticed “FP” in the upper right corner which I later found out that this was the icon to indicate that the high speed sync was on! Model shooting takes energy and agility for sure. I felt like I was 15 again as I was twisting and turning this body in ways it never did for a long time….lol. Well, its almost time for bed and I will be working on the images sometime this week. Looking forward to the next one. With every shoot, I am taking away more knowledge which is after all the key to this.
